August 1, 2012 is the beginning of our Annual Photo Scavenger Hunt.

Rules:

• It should be a good image, not necesarily a trophy shot. Scoring is based upon originality (40%) and how well you represent the theme in your image (40%). Only 20% of an image's score will be based upon composition and exposure. This means you have a lot of latitude to be creative, and that is what we are looking for! This should be fun, so think outside of the light box!

• Must be new images taken between Aug. 1 and Oct. 31, 2012.
• No more than two images per category.
• You do not have to enter every category.
• Use only the basic Photoshop stuff like levels, cropping, black and white, no HDR or other plug-ins…
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each category.
• For the over-achievers, you must be entered in each category to be entered in top point category.

PLEASE SEND SEPARATE EMAILS FOR EACH THEME YOU ENTER!!!

If you follow the guidelines it will make our job much easier sorting out the entries.
Each entry should contain:
Your name
Exact Image Name(s)
The Theme of the submitted image(s)

There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner in each theme, plus an overall top point winner, so you have several chances to win! We will show ALL of the submitted images in a slideshow at the beginning of our Christmas Banquet.

1. Down an alley
Anything in an alley.

2. Curves
One of the basics of good photography

3. Kids
Anything but a formal portrait.

4. Fruit
Could be shapes, color, arrangements…..

5. Fog or mist
Could be Natural or….

6. Look Up or Look down
Could be looking up, looking down, from any vantage

The themes are designed to test the photographer in different conditions. Our themes this year are unique and have never been used before so let's see how creative you can be.
